Brian O’Roark
Is the B.K. Simon Fellow of free market economics at Robert Morris University and the editor of the Journal of Economics Teaching. He has published two books on superheroes and economics Why Superman Doesn’t Take Over the World: What Superheroes Can Tell Us About Economics, and Superheroes and Economics: The Shadowy World of Capes, Masks and Invisible Hands, along with Essentials of Economics, a textbook for non-business majors. His favorite superhero is the Flash, because he wants to run fast.
Emily O’Roark
Is a student at Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, Indiana studying creative writing. She is the original artist of “Econ Man”! Her favorite superhero is Starfire (from Teen Titans Go!) because she’s pretty and bubbly.
Katherine O’Roark
Is a student at Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, Indiana studying applied math and computer science. Katherine assisted in the design of the website. Her favorite superheroes are the Guardians of the Galaxy because they are funny.
Mags O’Roark
Is a student at Blackhawk High School. She will be attending college in the fall studying computer animation. Mags helped with website design and graphic design. Her favorite superhero is Spider-Man (Miles Morales) because the animation in Into the Spider-Verse is epic.
