Joker has kidnapped both Batman’s friend Harvey Dent, and the love of his life Rachel Dawes. Joker tells Batman where they are, but this is the impossible choice trope. The caped crusader must go after one or the other, but he can’t save both. Whoever doesn’t make it is the opportunity cost of Batman’s decision. (But this is the Joker so not is all as it seems!)
Whenever we make choices there are costs. They do not usually involve life or death as in this clip, but the costs are real. If faced with the impossible choice trope, who would you choose?
Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
