Clark Kent’s new boss is shaking up his media empire.  He wants Clark on television rather than writing stories.  This may pose problems for Perry White, his editor at the Daily Planet who now finds himself without one of his most trusted employees.  It could also mean trouble for the Man of Steel as he can only save the day during commercials!

Print news has experienced a lot of changes since the advent of the internet.  Consumers of news do not want to wait for the morning paper to find out what is going on in the world.  Creative destruction is the idea that as new businesses and jobs are created, they diminish old ways of doing things.  In the case of news, the ease with which consumers can go on the internet or watch an all-news television channel might spell doom for the newsroom.  Clark might have a second career in broadcast journalism, but can the same be said for Perry White, Jimmy Olson, or Lois Lane?
