Without Ned’s help, Spider-Man would have to do all of things on his own. When Ned is caught, will Spidey be able to save the day without him?
Ned helps Spider-Man do his job better by specializing in the things in which he has a comparative advantage. Sure, Peter Parker could look up the specs on the car, but the opportunity cost is too high. By dividing the crime fighting labor with Ned, Spider-Man is even more Amazing!
